In December, Tampopo Ramen celebrated eight years in business as the first authentic Ramen noodle restaurant in Washington Heights NYC. It has been a wild journey as small business operators, with some amazingly celebratory times and some tough times. As a famous elevator operator once said about his job, “it has it’s ups and downs,” we can definitely say the same about running a restaurant in New York City. The thing we always come back to is how much we love making people happy with our food every day. One of the hardest parts about the restaurant is maintaining consistency of staff, of product, and of experience. This is the challenge that drives us. We love our broth and our freshly made noodles and we hope you do too! We love operating up here in Washington Heights, where many of our customers are experiencing authentic Japanese Ramen noodles for the first time.
